As storms continue to move across California, Lake County is now on its second day of heightened severe weather coverage. Governor Gavin Newsom says the state has positioned crews and equipment ahead of time to respond quickly to flooding, high winds, and other storm-related problems. In Lake County, emergency engines and personnel are already in place as part of a larger statewide response. Officials say this proactive approach is meant to keep communities safe during the busy holiday travel period. Residents are being reminded to stay informed, slow down on the roads, and avoid flood-prone areas.
