Clearlake is getting 2.5 million dollars from a Federal Community Block grant to develop plans to deal with homelessness. The grant is part of 52 million dollars going out to communities across the state. The city will work with North Coast Opportunities, which was named as a recipient as well. The state says the CDBG grants will help fund local solutions to homelessness.

Forecasts say the weather should finally dry out by the weekend. Also, in effect, a high wind warning from 7 PM to 6 AM P tomorrow. Southeast winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts from 50 to 70 mph are expected. Strongest winds over the coastal headlands, exposed ridges, and through gaps in the terrain. That could bring down trees and cause power outages–PG&E says it has crews standing by to move in quickly to repair any damage.
