Lake County schools and Rotary clubs are teaming up to tackle the growing threat of online child exploitation. The partnership is bringing the Polly Klaas Foundation’s social media safety program to local campuses, focusing on prevention and awareness. Schools will host assemblies and family events with childcare and meals available to encourage more participation. Leaders say the goal is to reach students and parents before online dangers turn into real-world harm. The pilot program launches in January with both student-led lessons and public education sessions.
