Lake County officials are backing a more realistic road repair plan aimed at steady progress instead of big promises. The five-year plan would spend just under eight million dollars to pave about 155 miles of roads, relying heavily on county crews to keep costs down. Public Works leaders say the work should gradually improve road conditions countywide by 2030. Supervisors acknowledged it’s not everything residents want, but say it’s a plan the county can actually afford and deliver.
