We’re a week out from Christmas, and lots of people will be travelling between now and then–in fact. AAA predicts record numbers in California and across the country. Of course, the weather plays a big part in holiday travel, and the local National Weather Service is studying the forecast models. Lake and Mendocino Counties could be in for another round of heavy rain in some places tomorrow and into Monday. The projections through Monday are a bit less than 3 inches in Lakeport, to almost 5 inches in Upper Lake. Beyond that, closer to Christmas, there is the potential for continuing heavy rain with low area flooding and even some significant SNOW above 3,500 feet. As they say—stay tuned.
