Ukiah audiences can step into a holiday classic this weekend as Mendocino Ballet brings back The Nutcracker for its 40th anniversary season. The show features mostly young local dancers who have spent months preparing for their moment on stage. Director Esther Hansen says the production builds confidence and a strong sense of teamwork among the performers. The anniversary run includes multiple shows through the weekend at the Mendocino College Center Theater.
