A vegetation fire east of Willits triggered a full wildland response Friday morning after a control burn escaped in the Ridgewood Road area. Fire crews and aircraft were initially dispatched, with the fire estimated at about one-eighth of an acre. CAL FIRE officials later determined the fire was manageable. Most resources were released, with one engine and crew staying on scene to handle the incident.
