A Butte County jury has found two Humboldt County men guilty in a brutal double killing where two bodies were discovered inside a torched vehicle. Deputies say the suspects, Samuel Terry Ashley and Wesley Evans shot the victims and then burned their car on a remote mountain road near Oroville. Investigators uncovered evidence the victims had traveled with the men from Humboldt County that same morning during a dispute tied to guns and drugs. Both suspects were later arrested back in Humboldt County and now face life without parole.
