Ukiah has named its next set of city leaders, with Vice Mayor Susan Sher moving into the mayor’s seat and Councilmember Juan Orozco stepping up as vice mayor. Their terms begin December 17 as part of the council’s yearly rotation process for choosing its top officers. Sher said she’s excited to take on the role and believes collaboration will be key as the city tackles its biggest challenges. A reception and swearing-in ceremony are planned before the December 17 council meeting at the Ukiah Civic Center.
