The Lake County Rural Arts Initiative just finished its sixth year of giving out Teacher Art Grants, handing out more than 700 grants worth over $88,000. Teachers have used the money for everything from crayons and paint to equipment for bigger creative projects in their classrooms. The group is now looking for more partners to help keep the program going and expand arts education across Lake County.
