Clearlake is reporting strong participation in its new rental registry program, the city’s latest push to make sure local rentals meet health and safety rules. Owners and managers have until January 6 to get signed up through the online portal. After registering, they’ll be able to schedule inspections and finish the first round of requirements. City staff warn they’ll be closed from December 24 to January 2, so anyone waiting until the last minute could hit delays.
