To free up space, they’ll be having a special adoption event on Saturday where you can choose your new furr friend from among those who desperately need a good home. To encourage potential pet parents, the shelter is reducing its fee $73.00 plus the $31.00 cost of a rabies tag for Mendocino County residents. The event is from 10 to 2 at the shelter on Plant Road in Ukiah. Car fanciers aren’t being ignored–the shelter plans a similar adoption event for feline friends later this month
