A Ukiah woman was arrested for driving a vehicle reported stolen from Sonoma County. Ukiah police located the stolen Nissan Xterra after being alerted by the city’s FLOCK license-plate camera system. Willits News says 36-year-old Jessica Bell, was arrested last week on Ford Street and booked into county jail on suspicion of vehicle theft. Bail’s been set at $15,000.

A group of inmates at Mendocino County Jail earned college certificates in landscaping through the jail’s Inmate Services education program in partnership with Mendocino College. The participants completed a hands-on Landscape Maintenance course taught by garden manager Joshua Sternberg. The Mendocino Voice says it required weeks of coursework, assignments, and a final project.

Governor Newsom is announcing a historic funding total aimed at wildfire prevention. A grant of 135-million-dollars will be available for ongoing and new wildfire prevention projects that still need federal help.
