The Lake County Planning Commission will be talking about cannabis policy at an upcoming meeting. The community development director, Mireya Turner, will outline recommendations to update the current rules. They have been in place since 2014, and Turner says it’s time to review the changes since then and to apply any lessons learned to bring the rules up to date. The meeting is Tomorrow at 9 AM at the county courthouse.,

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the single dad of a teenager whose body was found in Hidden Valley Lake. Andrew Roberts was 14. The sheriff’s office says he was out with a group over the weekend and never came back after telling them he was going swimming. His friends say Adam Roberts is devastated by the loss of his only son. People who have already donated remember Andrew as curious, energetic, and full of life. Money raised will go to funeral expenses to ease the financial burden. Andrew was an eighth grader at the Obsidian Middle School who had just celebrated the transition to high school.

An autopsy is being done to determine how a woman whose body was found in the water at the Highland Springs reservoir. Her name will be released after her family is notified. The reservoir, about four and a half miles south of Kelseyville, is a popular spot for hikers and horseback riders.
