This one involves students poking sharp metal objects into the USB ports of school issued laptops, shooting them out. It doesn’t just fry the machine–it gives off toxic smoke from the batteries and can start a fire. Several schools around the country have been evacuated. No problem like that here, but school officials want to make sure it stays that way, They’re reminding parents to tell their kids that many things that look cool on social media are very stuipd and very risky.
The Summer of 2025 is almost here, and the city of Ukiah has a lot planned. It starts on June 13th with the Summer Kickoff at Viewood Park from 5 to 8. Then, later in June, the first of two summertime family films will be screened at the municipal pool, with Moana 2. The city’s recreation department has a list of other fun things to do in July and August, too. The summer begins in just two weeks with Memorial Day from Monday.
