The city of Willits is giving away free compost, just in time for that spring garden. The giveaway is at the Willits SkatePark Parking lot from 8 am until it’s gone, Tomorrow and Sunday-and again NEXT weekend. The compost is the good stuff too–certified for organic growing, with the city calling it the perfect recharge for your soil.
A flotilla of seaplanes will descend on Lake City for the biggest seaplane gathering on the West Coast. The Clear Lake Splash will draw pilots, enthusiasts, and industry members to Lake County for three days, April 24th to the 27th. Among other things, It will feature talks about seaplane operations, a discussion about developing Clear Lake’s seaplane infrastructure, and a chance to see the planes up close at the Skylark resort next Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm.
