Among the 7,500 CAl FIre personnel battling the fires in Los Angeles, are members of a strike team from the Cal-Fire Lake-Napa Sonoma- Unit, They are on scene at the Easton fire, which has ravaged the community of Altadena. Their mission has been to protect structures, working alongside other Cal-Fire personnel and firefighters from across the country. A second-strike team with three engines is also heading to Los Angeles, picking up additional members from Cal Fire units along the way. The LNS Fire unit also says incident management team members who usually work fires in OUR communities are now near LA, helping other California communities in dire straits.
Police are looking for a man who stole over 60 gallons of fuel from the Coastal Senior Center in Point Arena early Christmas morning and again early Tuesday. The center says the thefts could hurt their ability to transport seniors who use their buses to get to medical and other important appointments. The city of Point Arena has a surveillance picture of the guy on its website, so if you recognize him, they’d like you to get in touch with the Sheriff’s office or the Senior Center
