The search continues for a Fort Bragg teen who has been missing since Saturday. 15-year-old Naomi Mora, also known as Roy, was last seen Saturday around 6pm in the area of Whipple Street and Oak Street in Fort Bragg on the way to see the Lighted Truck Parade with friends. Fort Bragg Police say they have added them to the California Department of Justice’s missing persons website and have been coordinating with Mendocino County Search and Rescue and the Coast Guard with an aerial search on Monday. They have also posted on the Fort Bragg Police social media with not only pictures of the teen but also a list of their last known sightings. Police are asking that if your video surveillance covers the times and places listed, that you check your camera.

The Greater Ukiah Business and Tourism Alliance has acquired a beer and wine license so they can now promote and sell Mendocino County wines. Officials tell Mendo Fever their new downtown Ukiah wine shop is now open and stocked with local wines produced by Ukiah Chamber of Commerce member wineries. The executive director of the tourism alliance says that while they have many wines to choose from, they want to focus on hard-to-find Mendocino County wines to give a leg up to the member wineries that are small, family-owned operations with limited distribution. The wine shop is inside the Ukiah Chamber and California Welcome Center office on South School Street.

There were also several non-tree items in a silent auction donated and offered by the 100 Women Strong and 100 Bucks Strong organizations.

An empty bank building on East Perkins Street in Ukiah may soon get new life. When the Ukiah Planning Commission meets tomorrow they are set to consider a permit submitted by Redwood Credit Union to open a branch in the former Savings Bank of Mendocino County building on East Perkins. The Willits News reports the Pear Tree Center branch, which has been vacant since 2016 is currently out of code so it needs some updating. But a Redwood Credit Union representative said at a previous meeting that they have a priority to reuse buildings rather than construct new ones. He says the bank building has “good bones”, and it is ripe for repurposing.
