That’s how much the Lake County Community Risk Reduction Authority join Powers Authority in partnership with Lake County Resource Conservation District has been awarded under the California Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation’s Forst Sector Market Development Grant Program. The money will be used to modify the Lake County Risk Reduction Authority to be able to manage forest biomass supplies at the regional level. The main objective of the project is to help explored opportunities for how the RRA can increase its capacity to more effectively support wildfire resilience activities that generate woody biomass as a byproduct, and then to support new and existing biomass utilizing businesses based in Lake County. 31-year old Fernando Lugo-Garcia pleaded not guilty to all counts in case where he is the suspect in the murder of a 2-year old boy. The hearing was held in Lake County Superior Court. That matter has been set for a preliminary hearing next month. All The charges stem from an incident back in March when a two-year-old Clearlake boy was shot during a party on Uhl Ave. in Clearlake. The Sonoma County Violent Crime Investigations (VCI) coordinated with intelligence from the Clearlake Police, which implemented an overnight search resulting in the arrest of the suspect. The defendant was transferred and booked into the Lake County Jail in May. His bail remains set at no bail.
