Lake Family Resource Center is looking for approval for a new home. Lake County News reports the center is asking the Lakeport Planning Commission for a permit to move to new facilities on Parallel Drive from its current location in the Vista Point Shopping Center. Among the programs that would move is the Early Head Start program that serves kids up to 3 years old and their families. Planners say the Center’s new location would include classrooms and offices for staff and support personnel, plus a fenced-in outdoor play area for the kids. The LFRC says it will work out of its current space until the new place is ready. The planning commission will take up the application tomorrow evening at 5:30 at the council chambers at City Hall. The city website has the agenda with details of the proposal.
