A CalFire engineer from Healdsburg is charged with setting five fires while he was off duty. CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers arrested Robert Hernandez on suspicion of arson for fires since August. The small fires around Geyserville, Healdsburg, and Windsor each burned less than an acre and were quickly put out. Hernandez was booked into Sonoma County Jail on charges of arson to forest land. CAL FIRE Director/Fire Chief Joe Tyler says he is appalled by the alleged actions of one of its own. He wants residents to be alert to any suspicious activity and report it –and never to approach someone who may be setting a fire.
