The Boyles Fire near Clearlake stands at about 50 percent contained over 81 acres. The fire that started on Sunday has led to evacuations in the area. Those people won’t be allowed back to their homes until CalFire ensures the fire is out and the necessary infrastructure–mainly power lines–is up and running.
The fire has disrupted the school routine. The Konocti Unified district says three schools are getting a deep cleaning because of smoke damage. They won’t open until Tomorrow at the earliest. The district website has the latest info. Meanwhile, it’s VIRTUAl classes for students at Woodland Community College. The campus is closed, but classes will all be online.
