The Lakeport City Council will discuss improving the city’s business climate this weekA report from the Lake County Economic Development Corporation is at the top of Tuesday’s city council agenda. The LCEDC has been reviewing ways to boost the local economy through 2029. Also up for discussion, is a plan from Sutter Lakeside Hospital to set up a special business district to encourage better health, and a plan to buy a $25,000 mobile speed limit variable message sign that could be put up to remind drivers they’re speeding and to gather traffic data about speeds on city streets. The money will come from the CHP through its cannabis tax fund program. The meeting is at 6 PM at the city council chambers, and as usual, you can find a virtual link on the city’s social media pages.
