A 15-year-old boy is missing in Clearlake. Police say Justin Cole hasn’t been seen since Monday. He is described as a white male juvenile, with short blond hair and brown eyes. Justin is 6 feet tall and weighs 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black Reebok sweatshirt, tan pants, and gray New Balance shoes. YOu can contact CLearlake PD with any information about him.

The Lakeport Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels Thrift shop is closing this spring. Lake CO News reports the store on Main Street stopped taking donations last week and will close its doors on April 30th. The store says it’s closing because of slow sales, along with higher costs for electricity and maintenance. They hope to reopen at a new location. The popular shop has been around since the fall of 2011.

What drought? The rain has been a PAIN, but it’s been good news for California’s agriculture and water supply. The government’s Drought Monitor reports there are no drought conditions of any level anywhere in the state, except for a tiny sliver in the far northeast. The driest spot in America is now in southeast New Mexico.

The Mendocino National Forest is asking for public input as it asks for a grant from the California Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division. Grant funds will be used to enhance the operations of the Mendocino National Forest’s off-highway vehicle recreation program and will support law enforcement activities in the forest. The preliminary grant also suppor for facility maintenance and operations at seven OHV staging areas, campgrounds, water systems, and an RV dump station. Facility maintenance activities will include cleaning, vault toilet pumping, and garbage collection There would also be more money for volunteer coordination, supervision of adopt-a-trail projects, and monitoring wildlife habitat and soils. You’ll be able to check it out and comment after it’s officially submitted on March 4th.

California is getting a couple of new residents later this year. China says it will sendi over two Giant Pandas across the Pacific this summer. Their new home is a bit of a ride–the San Diego Zoo. Still, it’s closer than a trip to the Chinese bamboo forests where Pandas normally hang out.
