Lake County officials want boaters to watch their speed on Clear Lake. They have put out an advisory about an ordinance that requires idle speed when boating less than one-quarter mile out from the lake shore when water levels hit 8 feet–which they did this week. “Idle speed” means no wake to protect shoreline property and infrastructure from harmful waves. The county also says even at slow speed, underwater debris can be a hazard so they want anyone out on the water to be extra careful.

Still no trace of a man from Ukiah who has been gone from his home for a week. There is a Feather Alert for 24-year-old Angel Murguia-Martinez who is a member of the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians. His family tells Mendo Fever they are especially worried because Angel took a gun from the home and left an apparent suicide note. Investigators with the Ukiah PD have reviewed surveillance cameras and sent up drones over the Russian River near where he was last seen but so far they haven’t found any leads. Angel’s worried family has no clue which direction he went or what his intentions are, but they hope they hear from him so they can know he is OK.
