The County of Lake Health Services has lifted the boil water advisory for those using private intakes in the southern half of Clear Lake. The advisory was issued in response to a sewage overflow incident on Burns Valley Road in Clearlake. Officials said they’ve been monitoring the water quality and have found that through their clean up efforts they’ve been able to reduce the risk of exposure to harmful bacteria in the water. If you have any questions about the safety of your water supply, you can contact the County of Lake Health Services office during normal business hours.

You’ll also need an update if your name has changed. Officials said in a press release that voting materials like sample ballots and vote by mail ballots will not be forwarded, they will just be returned to the registrar by the post office. You’ll have from February 21st until 8pm on election day to do that. You can find voter registration forms at most local post offices, libraries, city office buildings, and the chamber of commerce. You can also do it online at RegistertoVote.ca.gov
