FOR A HANDSOME FELLOW somewhere in his "30s" with a family, Justin's history is surprising. His characteristic energy, talent and creativity has led him through various careers to make him a interesting , multi faceted personality. His life experiences have included professional carpentry, performing as a stage magician, being a commercial artist/cartoonist, and co-creating a popular magnetic art kit called "Kaleida Jewels" sold in toy stores around the world. He was an on-air personality and Music Director for the old KLLK radio station in Willits, California, one of the very early Alternative Rock stations .
JUSTIN LIVES IN a remote part of Mendocino County near the Eel River in a place some would call something like a homestead. The Mendocino country shapes your attitudes and Justin values this above other less contemplative lifestyles.
AN AVID READER AND WRITER who is constantly looking to satisfy an insatiable curiosity, Justin came aboard the K-Wine / Max Rock FM group as Program Coordinator of the new Max Adult Rock station. That brought him into the excitement of launching the first new station in the market in 13 years and influencing the way Max relates to the local market. It also let management see Justin in action. When the News Director's slot opened up, Justin proved his versatility by filling in. He found a natural talent for reporting that no one suspected. So he landed the permanent position the hard way...a very long audition.. Justin also still acts as the Program Coordinator for MAX. As a side kick endeavor, Justin also has recently become the Mendocino County news correspondent for News Channel 50 in nearby Santa Rosa, where ex K-Wine newsman, Joe Damion is the regular on the street reporter.
